Early History[]
The shrine was built by prince Sallah for the goddess Bastet. After Bastet gets trapped in an idol, upon orders of Sallah, Zakarah hired artisans to lay protective glyphs and traps throughout the tomb. This was meant to protect tomb robbers from stealing the Idol of Bastet.
Idol of Bastet[]
The shrine was discovered by Buck Ogden and Lara Croft in Egypt. The shrine was built to worship the Egyptian goddess, Bastet. Inside they saw a heroglyph portraying the Witchblade. They also find the Idol of Bastet. As Lara removes the idol from the pedestal, the statues around the shrine come to life and attack them. While Lara manages to escape, Buck gets lock behind in the pyramid.
